One of the most common complaints I hear coming from Moms is that their kids are picky eaters. This is not cool especially if you’re a single parent or a student needing to study.
Here are two surefire ways to keep your child’s picky eating from driving you crazy.
Method 1—Create a Monthly Menu of Pre-Approved Meals
This is something to do day by day…not in one sitting…so don’t panic. Day by day as you cook meals if your family likes it write it down on a 3×5 index card. Later you’re going to turn this into a cookbook that you draw from to create menus. Since you know ahead of time that your child has already shown they like this food then there should be less resistance. (I know one day they like it the next they don’t but that’s another issue.)
Method 2—Have Them Help Cook
I know this sounds crazy to some people to have a 3 year old helping cook but, carefully supervised, kids can help a lot and since they’ve put effort into the dish they are, naturally, more inclined to like it.
